Update on Activities

School started this Jan 7th with a party for all the kids…. Cakes were cut and then there were games the whole of afternoon.
Our children have done very well this term exam. It was a pleasure to see their papers.

reopens

The parent teachers meeting was well attended. Every parent was individually met and work of the child was discussed. Regarding late comer's to school, it was explained how by bringing a child to school in the middle of a class, the parent is putting the child to a disadvantage. It was heartening to see the parents themselves deciding that a latecomer's parent would be fined Rs 5!!!
We finally ended the evening with our now famous school tea...

Reublic day was celeberated along with youth of Pannayur.
We have sponsored a deserving student for his 10th class...he is very keen to pursue seaman's course thereafter.

One more good news...We have started "Adult Education" for "Spoken English" class. We had to stop enrolment at 23 adult/ young students... It is really encouraging to see such a response....

Feb has found the school
catching up on all lost portions
and completing its syllabus...
Not all study though,
Valentine day saw children
singing hymns to Saint
Valentine..."Gods love is
so wonderful...", and of
course they also had a whale of
a time cutting cakes , playing
games and making beautiful
coloring hearts as part of their
artwork.

M/s Evergreen, Mumbai have donated 3 computers to Trust Children.
We would soon be starting a computer
course in the coming days!!!
Thanks to all of you for making this school take shape. We have plenty of work ahead..... and I am sure we will rise to greater heights through your loving participation.
