Mr Chozha Nathan
Mr Nathan has been teaching for over 22 years in junior colleges (equivalent to Std 11 & 12) in Singapore. He has been a Head of Department overseeing Student Management, Humanities and IT over the past 10 years. He has worked with the Singapore Ministry of Education on Curriculum Development for junior colleges.
He has a B.A. and M.A in Economics from University of Manitoba, Canada. He also has an MSc in Computer Science from University of Wales, UK. His professional qualifications include a PGD in Education and a Diploma in Departmental Management (Education) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Mr Nathan has been involved in volunteer work through the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA). The aim of SINDA is to uplift the indian community in Singapore through education and social means.
Mr Nathan is currently the Head of the IT department in Nanyang Junior College in Singapore. He maintains a marine fish tank as a hobby.

Mrs Sabita Currimbhoy
Sabita Currimbhoy has done her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the Women’s Christian College, Madras. Soon after her college she was absorbed in her father's company as Administrator and Confidential Secretary to the partners. After 6 years she decided to take a break to start a family.
During her stint as a homemaker, she worked on a voluntary basis with The School, KFI – Madras with their Urban Outreach Projects. This involved planning and arranging workshops both for Teachers and students from English medium schools in the city. These workshops encompassed a wide range of topics from sensitizing teachers in handling very young children to environmental & political issues that affect the classroom.
Feeling the pull towards education, she joined Gurukulam- A“Trust Children” School, in June 2011 as assistant English teacher. To fill an unexpected gap, she became the acting Principal from November 2011 to April 2012. She has since been handling the “Toward Better English” programme for both students and staff and fills in temporary gaps in teaching across all levels as and when required.
Sabita has been actively involved in the cultural and music scene of Madras in her early years. Being a part of the Church youth groups she has been involved in organising cultural, sports and musical events She has sung in many prominent choirs of the 1980’s including the famous Madras Philharmonic and Choral Society (MPCS) conducted by Padma Shree Handel Manuel. She has also taken part in the many musical productions put up by the MPCS.
Sabita brings to Gurukulam her organisational capacities coupled with her dedication to bringing up children who are self thinking individuals in this fast changing world.
