In wake of the recent Tsunami calamity that hit our country, the volunteers of
Trust Children
along with those of
Yogoda
Satsanga Society of India immediately took up the charge of providing relief across the affected coastal areas. Within a few days, 8
villages and about 4000 people were provided
relief with more than 5000 kgs of Rice, 1500 kgs
of dal, utensils, safe drinking water,
medicines, blankets, sleeping mats, toiletries
and many more. As relief work was underway and
people were recovering from the trauma of
Tsunami, Trust Children initiated rehabilitation
of villages through its "Adopt a Village"
program.

With Pannayur on its feet, we
took
charge
of
Annamalaicherry,
one
of
the
worst
hit
coastal
villages.
To
start
with,
650 families
were supplied with dry ration.
Tsunami had silted the river that connects this village to the sea and there was hardly ankle deep water in the river. To get them back on their feet, around 1.5 km stretch of this river
had
to be desilted.
Trust
Children,
with
Yogoda Satsanga society
of
India,
took
the
initiative
and
the
entire
stretch
of
river
has
been
de-silted.
Fishermen
are
already
back
to
the
sea
and
the
good
news
is
their catch is now
even
better than ever!
