Update on Activities
for March-June 2005

Summer Vacation has finally come
to an end and school days are
back!
School started this June 13th with a party for all the kids…. Cakes were cut and then there were games
and songs and dance the whole of afternoon.
With 25 new students joining our
LKG batch, we now have 56
students with us!

School
reopens

Ms.
Geraine has newly joined our faculty
to train the nascent minds. Syllabus for LKG, UKG, and I std has been specially prepared keeping in mind that our children are first generation learners.
Our friends from Chetana, who have
been supporting us immensely, helped
us in introducing more games into
our learning.
All our teachers along with our
ayahs attended a 4 day work shop by
Chetana on innovative teaching
methods to bring the most out of
child's talent.

One more good news...Computer classes have already
begun!
Students from National
University of Singapore, Dilip,
Vignesh, Vidya and Jagannath have come forward to impart Computer Education to the village youth.
M/s Evergreen along with
Logitech Computers, Mumbai have been
very kind in donating 4
computers to Trust Children.
Students are quite exited with new
opportunities coming their way. Such
is the response, we'll have to get
more computers in the coming days to
meet the expectations! |

Dr. Sheila has been her
wonderful self and with her team
conducted once again a medical
camp for our children. The
bi-annual medical check ups are
keeping our children fighting
fit.
All children were immunized for jaundice and given calcium supplements. The brave little ones were rewarded with tiger masks (Dr.
Sheila's thoughtful contribution) and
their favourite chocolates!
Karate and
‘Silumbu’ classes are going great for the youth at
Pannayur, followed by regular meditation. The response and attendance has been overwhelming.
